The Biological research of wood and it’s renewable material is what is referred to as wood science. In other words, the term wood science can also be known as wood technology. The use of copper metal is another method of wood treatment that is fast being accepted. This method is being accepted fast because is friendly to wooden fasteners. This process is what in other words called the micronized copper wood preservative. The copper metal is applied to the wood as small microscopic particles injected into the wood at high pressure. In other copper-based preservation methods copper is dissolved in chemicals while in this method copper is driven into the wood as a metal. When this process is used to treat timber the timber properties are increased highly. The wood products protected using this method last longer.
Termites cannot eat through timber treated through this method. It is not corrosive to metals used in together with the product. Extensive research over a period of 10 years has proven the effectiveness of this science as one of the best wood preservation methods.
